Although not as well known at Termites, Wood Borers can also do great damage to your property and can weaken the timbers of any building. The term Wood Borer covers many types of wood boring beetles with the Pinhole Borer being the most well known.

Adult beetles lay their eggs in cracks in wood and unfortunately this can include floorboards, furniture, wooden beams, window sills and any other wooden objects. Larvae burrow deep into the wood where they feed – and in the process make a maze of tunnels over several years.

If left untreated, a wood borer infestation may lead to structural failure of timbers not to mention the ruining of precious furniture and wooden pieces in your home.
